The idea behind vibration music therapy is that each organ in the human body vibrates with its own frequency. Due to the stresses of modern life, the frequencies of the organs become out of balance. Vibration music therapy improves bodily functioning using sound to manipulate the frequencies of the body so that the organs’ balance can be restored. Jenny provides therapeutic vibration music along with her acupuncture treatments in her Morganville, New Jersey office. Generally, patients not only feel better but also leave feeling very relaxed after receiving acupuncture treatments in a calm, serene atmosphere.

Acupuncture Defined
Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into the body at specific points shown as effective in the treatment of specific health problems. These points have been mapped by the Chinese for more than 2,000 years. Recently, electromagnetic research has confirmed their locations.

Acupuncture is a licensed and regulated healthcare profession in about half of the United States. Patients should ask their practitioner if their state requires a license to practice. In states that do not require licensing, patients should ask their practitioner if they are certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists. If you have an unresolved health problem, please call Monmouth Acupuncture at (732) 591-8899.

How does Jenny help patients with acupuncture?
To treat pain: According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy bodily functions require a balanced flow of Qi (Mandarin for “energy”) throughout the body.  Thus, illness and disease are associated with an imbalanced distribution of Qi caused by blockages in the paths where Qi usually flows.  Blocked Qi can be thought of as a river that is blocked by a dam.  Jenny palpates carefully to locate blockages of Qi.  Then she inserts acupuncture needles at selected acupuncture points to unblock the Qi so that the “dam” is removed and the energy can flow freely, promoting healthy life functions. Clinical trials have also shown that the needle techniques used in acupuncture cause the body to send signals to the brain to release anti-inflammatory substances (which reduce swelling and promote healing) and painkilling endorphins (which reduce pain).

To treat digestive issues: Jenny
diagnoses the pattern of the Qi imbalance by examining the tongue and the pulse. She selects acupuncture points accordingly to restore a balanced Qi distribution.  The treatment releases calming neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine which can quiet the nervous system and soothe digestion.

To treat stress, anxiety and mild depression:
Jenny diagnoses the pattern of the Qi imbalance by examining the tongue and the pulse. She selects acupuncture points accordingly to restore a balanced Qi distribution.  Acupuncture treatments counteract the body’s “fight-or-flight” response to stressful situations (a.k.a. sympathetic response) by causing the release of calming, “feel-good” neurotransmitters (e.g. endorphins) and by reducing the levels of stress hormones (e.g. cortisol ).  Acupuncture also improves blood circulation, which oxygenates the tissue and speeds up the removal of stress hormones from the body. These effects reduce stress and anxiety and also help in treating mild depression.
